by Linda Jenkins

EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles are fun for kids and adults alike.

If your kids like adventure and exploring things, the EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles are the right toy for them. This is a toy that uses infrared technology in order to allow you to see in the dark. The EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles develop kids imagination, allows them to learn about different things in their surroundings and gives them a good time.

The goggles would be a gift idea for children at various ages. What child – or adult for that matter – does not like the idea of being able to see clearly in pitch black darkness? There is also the option of switching the screen from black and white to green by flipping a button that is located on the side of the goggles.

They can also be fun for hide and seek at night, hiking, camping trips, and a whole lot more. Vision range is about fifty feet, and there’s no glaring light the way there is when we use a flashlight. You can use these goggles during the daytime, too.

The EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles come with a battery pack made for 5 AA batteries, safety power cord, and adjustable headband that allows them to fit many different heads. Made for kids eight years old and over, they’re a great opportunity to learn and have a lot of fun. The red LEDs around the eyepiece can be turned on for better vision, or off, if your child is enjoying sneaking up during a night time game of tag or hide and seek. Soft rubber around the edges of the goggles makes sure that they fit comfortably and securely.

These goggles provide a crisp, easily viewable image of even the darkest landscapes, but they should never be used without adult supervision. You might want to let you kids know that before you give it to them so that there are no misunderstandings later.

Regular night vision goggles start at about five hundred dollars, making the price tag on this toy something special. They offer real night vision technology at a much lower price. They’re also easily adjustable, though some users have reported lens fogging. These products aren’t professional grade, but they’re fun for kids and grownups, and compared to other night vision solutions, incredibly affordable!

What’s So Fabulous About Wall Letters?

February 12th, 2009

Wall letters are great decorating ideas that are simple to do on your own. Homeowners and renters can quickly change the look of any room: bedroom, kitchen, children’s room, and bathroom by simply adding wall letters. Children and teenagers, who like to make several quick changes in their rooms, will have a great need for several sets of wall decals. So wall letters are also good presents for young people. And no additional products are also needed to keep wall letters looking neat.

We often associate decals with car decorating but recently, decals have gained wide acceptance in home decorating. Its easy application and water-proof material have made vinyl-based decals a big part of the do-it-yourself home & decorating industry. Several types of decal designs are available but one of the most striking product lines is the wall letters.

These wall letters have become very popular in recent years because they eliminate the need for extensive home maintenance in home decoration. Years ago, parents had to devote several days to the process of painting a room, installing wallpaper or incorporating a drawing into wall space. These precocious residents may have wanted more variety in their wall design, but their working parents were probably unwilling to redecorate the house every few months. The best advantage of vinyl wall lettering is that it is fast, safe and does not damage the wall with nails or paint tears. Older children can be taught to apply vinyl wall lettering and parents can put up these decals in just a few moments.

A child can use wall lettering decal to personalize his or her room. This will give the child a sense of creative freedom, which he or she will find very comforting. They may want to have numerous wall letters on the wall, spelling out their name or other words that they feel reflect their personalities. They might also want to decorate their room with shapes or graphics, setting up their own little ambiance. You never know: maybe someday your child will become an art director or home decorator! The easy use of vinyl decals makes this caprice possible. Vinyl decals can inspired a child and keep him or her happy for months on end.

The design options available to kids to personalize their rooms are immense. Decals come in various patterns, colors and shades, shapes, and sizes. They can be applied to anything found inside the room, from walls to mirrors to headboards and dressers. Decals also cost less than other decorating supplies and a set on average cost below ten dollars. Wall letterings are also priced per letter. Hence, you only buy the letters you need, which further brings the cost down.

Your kids are not the only ones who will appreciate wall lettering decals as presents. You can also pick wonderful designs for your relatives and friends who are expecting a baby and are engaged in transforming a room into a nursery. Young relatives who are going to college can also use wall letterings in their dormitories.

Wall letters are easy to take down and easy to personalize. As the years pass, your child may want to spell out other words or buy more decals. That’s the beauty of using vinyl: there are no limitations. Replacing wall letters and other graphics will be as easy as taking a magnet on and off of the refrigerator. You could even teach your child how to do it.

If this sounds appealing to you then wall letters is a great decision for you. Companies offer a wide variety of designer decals, murals and word lettering. Word letters can be according to theme, of interest to boys or girls, and many dazzling shapes. Children will be amused at the many colorful patterns and feel like they’re in charge of making their room exciting and vibrant. This is not only a great way to encourage children to read and to encourage a sense of responsibility and independence”its also a great deal of fun!

Tips For Buying Cot Bedding

February 2nd, 2009
by Alice Ault

Cotton sheets and blankets are the traditional cot bedding choices for parents. Using cot blankets and cot sheets gives a parent the ability to keep their baby at the perfect temperature through removing or adding layers when needed.

Some parents even choose to make their own cot sheets by cutting and sewing sheets from adult bedding if they don’t want to buy those made specifically for a cot. For parents who wish to buy cot bedding there are some great choices which are easily available in stores and also online.

Don’t forget that you should use specially sized sheets if you use a pram, carrycot or moses basket. These are designed to be smaller than normal cot-sized bedding. Usually, you should begin with about three blankets and four sheets.

This amount lets you to have enough spare sheets and blankets ready if you need to make a speedy change. Sheets are generally made of the following different materials: traditional cotton, brushed flannelette (which is warm to the touch), cotton jersey or stretch cotton terry.

Stretch fitted sheets are practical bedding additions as they are not likely to come untucked during the night and are easy to remove on and off.

You can use acrylic cellular baby blankets, which wash well, rather than the cotton ones if your baby’s bedroom is quite cool. You should remember to check if traditional wool blankets you get are machine-washable .

This is because you will find yourself washing your baby’s cot bedding many times and having dry clean only cot bedding would not be very practical.

Cuddly fleece blankets, which are made from polyester, are also very popular and can be used in prams and strollers during colder weather, but be careful if you use them indoors as they can become too warm.
